A former child star buys her grandmother's house to rescue it from ruin but her hope for serenity is soon eclipsed by haunting dreams of her famous grandmother, who died of a supposed overdose in the house more than 30 years ago.

The plot revolves around British military contractor Lex Walker, who is told his daughter has died. When he arrives in Los Angeles and discovers the body is not hers, he begins an investigation.

A widow and a widower struggle to let go of the past as their friendship blossoms into romance.
