The mortician is a lone-wolf, emotionally cold and distant to the outside world and it's inhabitants. But then a boy shows up at his doorstep after witnessing his mother's murder and his world of solitude is turned upside down.

When a drifter befriends a quirky mortician, an unlikely business partnership is formed. Paranoia soon develops, however, and both men are forced to come to terms with the fragility of friendship and loyalty.

An eccentric mortician recounts several macabre and phantasmagorical tales that he's encountered in his distinguished career.
