A young pickpocket in the New York subways, living a fast, free, lifestyle is confronted by a woman with whom he had a one night affair.

Follows a a young woman who enrolls her baby in a day care program at a local church, but the preacher's wife becomes obsessed with the baby and tries to frame the woman as an unfit mother.
